I’ve given up trying to find an easy website builder and have decided to just learn how to write code. What I can do is tell you about the pitfalls. Word Press is great. I use it for my blog. It’s extremely easy to use but, it limits you to how big a file you can upload. I got around it by uploading the file to file manager in my bizland account and linking to the file. I haven’t really explored the use of Word Press for a band website. I just use it for a blog. The real problem happened when I wanted to add a new domain for my new band, NY Retro. I did a google search and wound up on the godaddy site where they informed me that they were holding on to the domain name for me and I could buy it from them. I wanted to buy it through bizland and godaddy finally let go of it after 2 years. Bizland has a substantially reduced rate for a second domain and they also have a lot of plugins and stuff to make your website. One of these was Word Press. Another was Weeblie. Weeblie looked really easy to use until I tried to upload Recuerdo de la Alambre. It was longer than 5 minutes. I had to do a lot of searching to find out that was the problem. Also, Weeblie took over the site and totally screwed up the original domain, boscoden.com. I switched back to file manager and am currently trying to learn code.
